Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail or customer service
- Ability to lead and manage a small team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in handling cash and electronic transactions
- Knowledge of company policies particularly regarding restricted merchandise sales
- Ability to multitask and maintain a clean work environment
- Problem-solving skills to handle complaints and conflicts
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a team and resolve conflicts
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to follow rules and procedures accurately
- Flexibility to assist with various travel center functions
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
- Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
- Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
- Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines
- resolve team member conflict
- and communicate issues to management
- Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
- Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose
- ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
