Job Requirements
- one to five years of prior cooking experience in a hotel kitchen or related field preferred
- culinary training in a college setting preferred
- ability to use various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- ability to perform medium work involving up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- capacity to stand for long periods without sitting
- ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach
- capability to work under variable temperature and noise levels
- good near vision for detail work
- ability to move quickly and work long hours
- strong communication skills in English
Job Qualifications
- culinary training in a college setting preferred
- 1 to 5 years of prior cooking experience in a hotel kitchen or related field preferred
- experience in banquet, fine dining, or line cooking required for certain roles
- ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- good communication skills and ability to understand and convey information in English
- ability to multitask and work well in a team
Job Duties
- prepare high quality food on the grill and other cooking stations based on established guidelines
- serve as a role model and train other kitchen staff
- prepare cold food items such as salads, cold appetizers, and desserts
- maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen following sanitation procedures
- adhere to food safety and hotel safety policies
- assist management in problem situations as needed
- work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate service
