Job Requirements

  • regular use of a computer and various software programs
  • basic math and spelling skills

  • sufficient experience, education, and knowledge to meet business needs
  • ability to move continuously and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • six months experience as a Gallery Host at Hyatt Place
  • completion of all First Place Training Modules
  • schedule flexibility to work any shift
  • outstanding customer service skills
  • ability to work well with team members
  • desire and ability to grow into management role preferred

Job Duties

  • serving as the first contact for guest concerns
  • training all new Gallery Hosts
  • conducting daily huddles to communicate the day's events to hosts
  • managing food and beverage inventory and ordering
  • overseeing the first in/first out process for food and beverage
  • conducting property tours for new hires and clients
  • managing group reservations to ensure they are pre-assigned and pre-keyed
  • initiating housekeeping boards each morning
  • performing walkthroughs of public areas and kitchen and reporting to management
  • overseeing meeting room set up and tear down for internal and external clients
  • acting as Manager on Duty in the absence of management
  • controlling inventory of Gallery Host stand and kitchen supplies
  • maintaining high-quality guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards
  • adhering to company policies and appearance standards
  • maintaining communication with managers
  • demonstrating professionalism and positive demeanor
  • accepting performance feedback professionally
  • ensuring regular attendance and punctuality
  • performing other duties as assigned
