Job Duties
- Greeting the public
- demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service
- provide information on Park District activities and facilities
- responsible for cash control of the front desk cash drawer and incoming cash registrations
- answering all incoming phone calls and in-person inquiries, addressing caller inquiries or routing to the proper person, if necessary
- assist the Fitness Supervisor in leading front desk training for all front desk staff
- help coordinate front desk schedule, provide suggestions for optimal front desk operations
- register applicants for Fitness Center memberships, Resident I.D. Cards, Pool Passes, and programs
- process reservations for racquetball courts
- market and sell PLCC fitness center memberships, programs, and rentals
- give tours as needed
- develop and maintain working knowledge of telephone systems, copy machine, building intercom, pass card printer, any other office equipment, POS system, and RecTrac software
- assist other staff with issues or questions
- respond to emergencies in the facility, which may include incidents of a serious nature
- perform photocopying or complete other project needs for the Park District staff as requested
- receive and distribute incoming mail
- assist instructors by printing class rosters and calling participants of cancelled classes
- make decisions and problem-solve issues that arise during the shift
- be aware of all activities scheduled in the facility during the shift
- ensure signage in facility is current (flyer boards & bins, table tents, and closing or other signs)
- add any changes or corrections to the facility schedule and master Spectrum copy
