Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years hospitality or food service experience with leadership
- Cash handling knowledge
- Certified Food Manager or Food Handler Permit as per Texas Department of State Health Services or ANSI
- Ability to communicate in English effectively
- Competency in food service related software
- Good organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to perform simple math calculations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Commitment to food safety and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Three years in hospitality or industry operation with two years progressive lead or supervisory experience
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Demonstrates skills and competencies for safe job performance
- Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, and co-workers
- Strong knowledge of food information software systems e.g. CBORD
- Able to organize work sequences and collaborate with employees
- Decision-making skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with food service management software
- Adheres to Food and Nutrition Services appearance standards
- Food Handler Permit or Certified Food Manager certification required
Job Duties
- Assist in tray assembly
- Perform simple food preparation
- Serve customers
- Replenish food stations
- Handle cash transactions
- Transport food carts in a timely manner
- Communicate with peers and management regarding hazards
- Maintain sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas
- Assist management in training and operations
- Monitor server activities and fill in as necessary
- Expedite patient trays during peak times
- Manage ordering and inventory
- Maintain high standards of service to meet customer needs
- Conduct safety and sanitation inspections
- Assist with personnel documentation and training
- Monitor cashiers and reconcile cash deposits
- Prepare financial reports
- Review charge tickets and complete billing
- Receive and check in supplies
- Manage time effectively to minimize overtime
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Participate in self-development and career planning
