Job Requirements

  • Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent
  • two years of experience in quantity food preparation
  • Certified Food Manager certification within three months of appointment
  • First Aid and CPR certificates within sixty days of hire
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • adherence to safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to operate food service equipment
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to use a computer and relevant software
  • willingness to work independently
  • availability to wear closed-toe shoes and follow dress code

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent

  • knowledge of food safety, sanitation and cooking principles
  • ability to train and direct staff
  • proficiency with kitchen equipment
  • basic math and cashiering skills
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to maintain records
  • Certified Food Manager certificate required
  • First Aid and CPR certificates required

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize and lead a crew in food preparation, cooking and serving meals
  • oversee cleaning of equipment and food service facilities
  • operate standard kitchen equipment
  • prepare and serve hot and cold menu items
  • estimate and order food and supplies
  • train and provide work direction to staff
  • maintain computerized records and generate reports
