Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work hourly full-time shifts
  • Experience in food service at fine dining or full-service restaurant
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of food server experience working in a fine dining or full-service restaurant
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktails
  • Understanding of standard menu items and daily specials
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation methods
  • Understanding of inventory control practices and procedures
  • Experience with reservation management systems
  • Knowledge of usage and care of standard kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Familiarity with guest service standards and policies
  • Ability to assist customers in making menu selections
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions
  • Basic arithmetic skills

Job Duties

  • Take orders and serve food and beverages
  • Prepare some food items such as salads
  • Advise customers regarding menu items
  • Plan floor arrangement for catered events
  • Serve tables at catered events
  • Communicate with management staff on a daily basis
  • Answer customers’ questions regarding the organization
