Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food service or related field
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food production plans
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness to obtain Food Safety Certification within 6 months
  • Ability to use food preparation equipment and measuring devices
  • Commitment to adhering to HACCP procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certificate, GED, training or experience required
  • Knowledge in principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1 year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
  • Food Safety Certification required within 6 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversees and leads the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
  • Ensures adherence to standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
  • Ensures food quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness meet required standards
  • Follows all HACCP procedures to maintain food safety
  • Uses standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately
  • Maintains compliance with departmental goals and objectives
  • Supports and trains kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation
