Job Requirements
- At least one year of specialized experience at GS-07 grade level or equivalent
- meet federal time-in-grade requirements for promotion
- maximum entry age of 37 years unless exempt
- provide copies of current firefighter-related licenses and certifications
- maintain or obtain EMT-B certification
- meet federal firefighter retirement provisions
- strong knowledge of firefighting vehicle operations and hydraulics
- knowledge of emergency first aid and HAZMAT procedures
- understanding of building design and aircraft safety systems
- skill in fire hazard detection and communication equipment use
- ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership
- able to lift and carry heavy loads
