Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three months related experience or training
  • Food Safety Professional Certification or local food handlers permit if required
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to use small kitchen appliances safely
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe workstation
  • Proficient computer skills for internal systems
  • Professional appearance and grooming
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to report work-related injuries promptly
  • Ability to work up to 25 hours per week in a retail store environment

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and handling

Job Duties

  • Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies ensuring cleanliness and security
  • Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when Supervisor is absent
  • Act as point person for all events in the store during Supervisor absence
  • Assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools
  • Provide leadership and product knowledge support to the team
  • Proactively engage and sell products to consumers
  • Prepare and serve food samples including raw meats, produce, and eggs complying with safety guidelines
  • Effectively communicate product features and benefits
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation
  • Set up and prepare event tables for execution
  • Complete all assigned work including client visit preparations and audit corrections
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet objectives
  • Complete expense reports and submit online requirements timely
  • Take digital photos of event setups to document success
