Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience managing a fleet of drivers or in a similar supervisory role
  • ability to work in the field 50-75 percent of scheduled time depending on location
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
  • flexibility to work varied schedules
  • excellent problem-solving skills

  • ability to coordinate and schedule drivers according to airline schedules
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures

  • ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software

Job Duties

  • Direct the work activity for a group of drivers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and the customer experience
  • provide leadership and direction to drivers including process improvement, team-building, coaching and feedback
  • assist in minimizing overtime only to emergency situations
  • assist the Station Manager with recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, motivating, coaching, and mentoring transport drivers
  • manage daily maintenance review of fleet vehicles including inspections, scheduled maintenance and communication of concerns to Fleet Manager
  • promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, leading station safety meetings and meeting with individual staff members
  • assist with managing local permits and vehicle registrations and communicate with finance for timely renewal
  • maintain positive professional relationship with airport ground transportation and attend meetings as required
  • complete required paperwork timely and adhere to company policies and protocols
