Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in paratransit dispatch or related field preferred
- ability to work various shifts including opening and closing
- proficiency in using dispatch software such as Trapeze PASS
- strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance
- physical capability to handle job-related tasks
- commitment to maintaining a professional work environment
- ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- experience in paratransit scheduling using Trapeze PASS
- possess excellent communication and decision-making skills
- maintain excellent attendance record
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- possess telephone speaking and/or call center experience
- have computer experience
Job Duties
- Provide direction to and maintain two-way communications with all operators
- monitor system performance and make scheduling adjustments to maximize on-time performance
- minimize customer wait times for on-call or will-call services
- minimize service disruptions due to vehicle or operator availability and emergency situations
- handle emergency situations according to local policy with proper notification and documentation
- maintain scheduling and performance data in real-time operations
- assist operators in emergencies or vehicle malfunctions
- reschedule trips as necessary due to malfunctions, traffic, or emergencies
- assign will-call and same day trips to available vehicles to ensure on-time performance and system productivity
- reconcile trip manifests and fares collected by operators upon check-in
- assist passengers with trip status inquiries
- document daily events related to service accurately
- maintain a safe work environment
- communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling and passenger issues
- open and/or close facility depending on shift
- maintain professional demeanor and appearance
- maintain attendance within policy
- oversee supervisor calls and provide direction
- assist with same day reschedules to ensure productive runs
- review and answer complaints about dispatch
- handle multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- maintain two-way communication with operators about customer updates, cancellations, and directions
- monitor operators and trip status, making adjustments to ensure on-time performance
- accurately document daily items such as attendance, issues, vehicle problems, emergencies, and disruptions
- use spare vehicles effectively for preventive maintenance
- answer passenger calls collecting trip information and providing accurate arrival times
- provide system information to current and potential passengers
- conduct follow-up calls as required
- communicate passenger cancellations promptly
- maintain up-to-date passenger records in the database
- deliver excellent customer service
- work as a team player and assist staff, management, and peers
