Job Requirements
- One or more years of experience in commercial cleaning
- One or more years of experience working with commercial cleaning equipment
- Experience training and leading staff in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility
- Ability to complete and maintain food safety training required by University Housing and Dining
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Job Duties
- Assist dining supervisor with overseeing dish room area
- Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks for dish room area
- Process dishware, sort silverware, wash pots/pans, and scrape/stack dishes during meal periods
- Replenish and move dishes to proper locations within the unit
- Maintain dish machine, conveyor belts, and transport equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and standards as directed, including trash removal and lining trashcans
- Set up and break down dish room daily and ensure proper sanitation practices
- Train staff in proper sanitation techniques and maintain productivity
- Provide feedback on staff performance and coordinate employee rotations and breaks
- Communicate professionally with staff, supervisors, and customers
- Adhere to University and UHD policies and complete required food safety training
- Follow work safety guidelines and use proper PPE
- Escalate emergencies, equipment repairs, and work orders to supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
