Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- food handler card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes preferred
- three to five years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant setting
- two years of leadership experience in a full-service restaurant setting preferred
- previous experience in senior living or healthcare preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- strong attention to detail
- availability for flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

- three to five years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant setting, preferably in an upscale environment
- two years of experience in a leadership position in a full-service restaurant setting (preferred)
- previous experience in senior living or healthcare (preferred)
- strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
- availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere
- take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly
- ensure meals are served according to residents' dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests
- ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile
- prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware
- in the absence of the Culinary Director, direct the service flow and supervise all front-of-house staff
- assist with scheduling and section assignments
- assist with special events, including setup, breakdown, and service flow
- monitor all food handling procedures while providing a safe and comfortable work environment for all restaurant staff
- communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff
- follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages
- ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards
