Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • food handler card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes preferred
  • three to five years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant setting
  • two years of leadership experience in a full-service restaurant setting preferred
  • previous experience in senior living or healthcare preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • strong attention to detail
  • availability for flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • food handler card (preferred)
  • three to five years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant setting, preferably in an upscale environment
  • two years of experience in a leadership position in a full-service restaurant setting (preferred)
  • previous experience in senior living or healthcare (preferred)
  • strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
  • availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere
  • take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly
  • ensure meals are served according to residents' dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests
  • ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile
  • prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware
  • in the absence of the Culinary Director, direct the service flow and supervise all front-of-house staff
  • assist with scheduling and section assignments
  • assist with special events, including setup, breakdown, and service flow
  • monitor all food handling procedures while providing a safe and comfortable work environment for all restaurant staff
  • communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff
  • follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages
  • ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards
