Job Requirements
- valid driver’s license
- air brake certification (FMSCR 396.25) or 1+ year of verifiable experience with the ability to obtain certification
- motor vehicle air conditioning repair certification (EPA 609) or ability to obtain
- commercial motor vehicle inspector certification with 3 years experience or 1 year experience with ability to obtain
- ability to safely and accurately perform vehicle maintenance
- commitment to promoting positive work habits including communication, teamwork and respect for coworkers
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair
- ability to perform preventative maintenance and repair on commercial trucks and tank trailers
- ability to lift frequently up to 50 lbs
- strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- experience working in a fast-paced shop environment
- effective communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- perform general property and vehicle maintenance and repair duties in a fast-paced shop environment
- conduct preventative maintenance and inspection of Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
- accurately diagnose mechanical issues and implement appropriate repairs
- maintain safety standards and compliance with industry regulations
- provide constructive guidance and mentorship to other employees
- communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure operational efficiency
- contribute to providing the highest quality of service to customers
