Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in retail sales preferred
  • Ability to work with equipment, tools and materials listed
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts including arrival on time
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) preferred
  • Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions required
  • Ability to work in varied conditions including cold or warm temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in retail sales preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with cash register and point-of-sale systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner
  • Greet customers as they enter and thank them as they leave
  • Assist customers with suggestions and recommendations
  • Accurately ring up sales on the cash register handling various payment types
  • Operate fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions
  • Maintain store cleanliness and equipment upkeep by performing housekeeping duties
  • Inspect facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness and proper function
  • Receive, verify and stock merchandise and place advertising and pricing signage
  • Control merchandise, cash shortages, and assist in inventory and shift audits
  • Monitor shift sales, cash handling procedures, and complete daily close-out functions
  • Supervise customer service representatives in the absence of the assistant manager
  • Coach and train new employees
  • Adjust staff schedules and assignments as needed
  • Report any incidents, thefts, or unsafe conduct to the Store Manager
  • Perform administrative duties such as cash drawer counting and shift reports
  • Keep accurate employee timekeeping records
  • Attend job-related meetings
  • Complete daily store reports and other duties assigned by the Store Manager
