Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- experience with custodial supplies, procedures, and equipment
- computer experience
- strong work ethic and motivation aligned with organization goals
- valid driver’s license
- large venue maintenance experience preferred
- ability to effectively communicate with all customers
- ability to write and keep track of schedules and meet deadlines
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- physical ability to frequently lift/move items up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- ability to work at heights up to 50 ft
- willingness to work indoors and outdoors in moderate to loud noise environments

Job Duties
- Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, facility administration, students, programming, mainstage musical and concert staff
- responsible for cleaning Bluestem property in a timely and efficient manner, preparing the facility for Trollwood programming, events, rentals, and general use
- works with appropriate district staff, responsible for seasonal preparation of all buildings and grounds at Bluestem Center for the Arts
- assists rentals manager, faculty, and other Trollwood staff with facility needs, ensuring they have necessary facility resources
- instructs and supervises custodial staff on cleaning and setup needs of the facility while assisting with these duties
- maintains knowledge of custodial chemicals and procedures and inventory of supplies
- maintains and makes minor repairs to custodial equipment
- responsible for building security
- submits work orders related to custodial operations and facility and grounds maintenance
- operates and maintains grounds equipment for 60 acre site including commercial mower, tractors, snow blower attachments, golf carts, skid-steer, bucket truck
- proficient in backing up truck, trailer, and large cube van
- works with hand and power tools
- participates in required training for grounds equipment operation
- meets regularly with administration to update facility needs
- available for emergency call-back
- works safely following district safety guidelines
- substitutes for other district employees when needed
- participates in all mandatory and position appropriate training as required by district
