Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience in kitchen management or lead cook role
- experience managing people and kitchen staff
- ability to enforce health codes and maintain sanitation standards
- knowledge of inventory management systems
- strong communication skills
- possession of valid food handling permits
- ability to manage food cost and labor cost
- experience with event catering
- proactive problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- experience in staff management including hiring, training, supervising, and motivating staff
- experience managing kitchen operations including workflow, consistency, speed, and presentation
- knowledge and experience in inventory management, ordering, food waste control, and cost monitoring
- familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- functional knowledge of Square POS and MarketMan Inventory system
- experience developing menu items
- experience with event catering and pricing
- possession of all required food handling permits
- proactive approach to issue resolution
Job Duties
- manage kitchen operations
- oversee and update the menu with full creative control
- maintain food inventory levels and manage recipes in the inventory system
- ensure food pricing and manage food costs within budget
- hire, train, schedule, supervise and motivate kitchen staff
- collaborate with food distributors and vendors
- enforce food safety and sanitation standards
