Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 2 years cooking experience
  • strong hands-on cooking skills
  • ability to lead a kitchen team
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • ability to work under pressure and manage stress
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • multitasking in a busy kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee and participate in preparing, cooking, and plating dishes from Uncle Giuseppe's recipes
  • navigate Zipline to retrieve recipes, communicate updates, and complete tasks
  • maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
  • lead and inspire kitchen crew including seafood clerks
  • teach cooking techniques, safety, and equipment use
  • manage inventory and stock levels
  • keep kitchen clean and functional
  • maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • taste-test dishes to meet quality standards
  • adjust recipes as needed
  • collaborate on menu development and seasonal specials
  • monitor food costs and minimize waste
  • ensure effective communication with front-of-house staff
  • interact with customers during special events
  • enforce food safety and hygiene practices
  • handle kitchen issues efficiently
  • communicate with management
  • offer feedback to improve operations
