Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours between 9:00am - 6:30pm
- Clearance approval into the facility
- Ability to adhere to strict health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment
- Ability to read and follow company recipes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn and accept training
Job Duties
- Lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up
- Read and follow company recipes accurately
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations
- Manage inventory and supplies to maintain efficient kitchen workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen area
- Assist with scheduling and training new employees
