Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • five to seven years' experience in high-volume line or production cooking
  • at least two years' supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to read and follow recipes and production lists
  • good basic mathematical skills
  • good organizational skills
  • good communication skills
  • ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications as required by local gaming regulations
  • ability to obtain and maintain Food Handlers Serv Safe certifications as required by Lake County Health Department
  • able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • able to stand for long periods
  • able to navigate crowded spaces
  • flexibility in bending and reaching
  • adaptability to casino conditions including bright lights and noise

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum five to seven years' experience in high-volume line or production cooking in a full-service dining or food service establishment
  • at least two years' supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to read recipes, production lists, and kitchen documentation
  • good basic mathematical, organizational and communication skills
  • bilingual is a plus

Job Duties

  • participate in prep and service
  • oversee and support all kitchen stations
  • manage closing shift responsibilities
  • ensure completion of all required paperwork and checklists
  • compile prep and production lists
  • monitor inventory
  • ensure food items are prepared and stored according to rotation and safety standards
  • train and retrain kitchen staff
  • communicate clearly across shifts and with team members and leadership
  • maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • report issues, incidents, or discrepancies to supervisors promptly
  • assist with special projects and events
  • participate in safety meetings
  • keep accurate records of daily operations and team performance
