Job Requirements
- Minimum two years experience in kitchen supervision or relevant culinary role
- Fluency in Spanish
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per hotel standards
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Must possess physical ability to lift and move up to 200 pounds regularly
- Willingness to comply with all hotel rules and regulations
- Ability to work varying schedules reflecting the needs of the hospitality industry
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Two years of experience required
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Fluency in Spanish
- Ability to read, write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions
Job Duties
- Assign specific duties to all kitchen employees regarding efficient operation of the kitchen
- Select, train and supervise kitchen staff in proper preparation of menu items
- Schedule culinary staff to maintain proper coverage while controlling payroll costs
- Ensure proper receipt, storage and rotation of food products in compliance with Health Department regulations
- Adhere to cost and quality control procedures
- Supervise daily cleaning of walk-in and reach-in refrigerators
- Report equipment in need of repair to Chef or Engineering
- Support special events such as VIP parties and staff meetings
