Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in kitchen supervision or relevant culinary role
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per hotel standards
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Must possess physical ability to lift and move up to 200 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to comply with all hotel rules and regulations
  • Ability to work varying schedules reflecting the needs of the hospitality industry

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education and experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Two years of experience required
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
  • Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions

Job Duties

  • Assign specific duties to all kitchen employees regarding efficient operation of the kitchen
  • Select, train and supervise kitchen staff in proper preparation of menu items
  • Schedule culinary staff to maintain proper coverage while controlling payroll costs
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage and rotation of food products in compliance with Health Department regulations
  • Adhere to cost and quality control procedures
  • Supervise daily cleaning of walk-in and reach-in refrigerators
  • Report equipment in need of repair to Chef or Engineering
  • Support special events such as VIP parties and staff meetings
