Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food preparation
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to lead and supervise staff
  • strong organizational skills
  • good communication skills
  • able to work scheduled hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • ability to supervise and train kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals including entrees, soups, salads, sauces, desserts and snacks
  • ensure all cooking stations are stocked with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards before, during and after shifts
  • adhere to food rotation practices to reduce waste and contamination
  • assess quality of delivered food supplies
  • wash and clean kitchen utensils and equipment
  • supervise Line Cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
