Job Requirements

  • Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
  • determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours
  • prepares special dietary needs as directed by menus
  • monitors food quality, temperature, and taste at all times
  • ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods
  • assists with documentation of logs and cleaning schedules
  • understands healthcare regulations
  • follows local, state, and federal food handling policies
  • available to work flexible schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • compliance with Florida's Care Provider Background Screening process

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in fine dining preferred
  • knowledge of healthcare regulations related to food preparation
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and food handling policies
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
  • determine food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours
  • prepare special dietary needs as directed by menus
  • monitor all food items to ensure guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld
  • ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle
  • taste and prepare food to determine quality
  • assist with documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules
