Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ServSafe or equivalent certification
- Sanitation certification
- 3-5 years cooking experience

- Experience with sanitation and food safety
- Knowledge of recipes, measurements and serving sizes
- Quality control of plating and service
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient for job duties and communication with residents, families, and employees
Job Duties
- Prepare food products in compliance with recipes and direction from the Executive Chef
- Serve and garnish food products as directed on production records
- Alert Chef to any edits on the recipe or inventory changes
- Demonstrate skill in both hot and cold food production and willingness to learn and develop culinary skill
- Produce food in a timely manner and serve at the proper temperature while maintaining quality
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment and utensils in safe and sanitary fashion
- Work as a team member to complete meals on time and support co-workers
- Organize the station efficiently for meal production
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets for Healthcare Unit
- Follow safe food handling and storage procedures
- Maintain standards of sanitation and personal hygiene
- Participate in meal service
- Comply with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations and Plymouth Place policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Attend in-service and education programs
- Perform all other duties as assigned
