Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • completion of an ACF accredited culinary arts or hospitality management program preferred
  • Illinois Department of Public Health Sanitation Certification within 3 months of start date
  • minimum five years food service experience or two years leadership experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management or hospitality, preferred
  • completion of an ACF accredited culinary arts or hospitality management program, preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the Cooks
  • ensure compliance to local and federal production, sanitation and safety standards
  • assist in the training of new staff
  • notify Facilities of any malfunctioning equipment
  • prepare menu items utilizing standardized recipes for patients, cafeteria and catered services
