Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Availability to work both AM and PM shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain productivity

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience cooking in a high-volume full-service kitchen
  • Previous union experience preferred
  • Experience with banquet and catering culinary operations is an asset
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee preparation of food in all areas during assigned shift
  • Prepare fish and meats
  • Assist and support kitchen team members
  • Communicate any challenges to Chef/Sous Chef
  • Assist Chef/Sous Chef in overseeing cleanliness and sanitation
  • Set up daily specials and happy hour food according to schedule and spaces
  • Visually inspect food quality and presentation
  • Prepare staff schedules with guidance of Chef/Sous Chef
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company food handling and food storage procedures
