Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • two plus years experience in high-volume food service including one year in menu research and development
  • strong knowledge of culinary terms procedures and practices
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • quality-conscious and safe worker
  • excellent attention to detail
  • ability to work independently and in team settings
  • knowledge of HACCP
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand walk reach stoop kneel crouch and lift up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree with two years in culinary field or minimum of high school diploma or GED with two plus years experience in high-volume fine dining service
  • two plus years experience in high-volume food service with at least one year exposure to menu research and development
  • reliable quality-conscious safe worker
  • able to work under pressure in fast-paced hot kitchen
  • culinary knowledge of terms procedures and practices
  • flexibility to perform tasks independently or as part of a team
  • HACCP knowledge
  • excellent attention to detail
  • ability to deal with heavy workload
  • self-organized and capable to work independently as well as in a team
  • ability to accurately monitor wastage
  • flexibility to work different shifts including night weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and prepare a menu that meets the unique requirements of airline customers and in-flight dining
  • lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff ensuring smooth operations and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • prepare exquisite gourmet meals with precision and elegance paying meticulous attention to detail in presentation and flavor
  • implement and maintain high standards of food quality consistency and taste ensuring customer satisfaction
  • monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to support efficient kitchen operations
  • train and mentor cooks providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
  • adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • collaborate with other departments such as procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies
  • stay updated with industry trends and innovations incorporating new techniques and ingredients into menu creations
  • manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities working efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
