Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in cooking or food preparation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must complete Food Service Sanitation course within one year of employment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food preparation
- Possess valid work authorization
- Ability to follow all health and safety regulations
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug testing when applicable

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Capacity to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare food to standard
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Check and ensure adequate supply of foods and seasonings
- Checks that food is adequately prepared for cooking and serving
- Prepare sauces, gravies and other foods of medium and higher complexity according to directions
- Operate various cooking stations and all cooking equipment
- Recommend adjusting cycles of menus based on food quantities and great demand
- Ensure cleanliness of food preparation areas
- Supervise the activities of Cooks and Cooks II as required providing instruction and guidance as necessary
- Organize cooking and food storage areas
- Oversee carving station at banquets as assigned
- Follow safety rules and keeps work area clean and orderly
- Break down workstation, clean and restock
- Create specials for assigned outlets, utilizing both new and dated products
- Ensure sanitation guidelines are followed as directed by the local health department
- Open assigned outlets in a timely fashion as instructed by a Sous Chef/Chef de Cuisine/Executive Sous Chef - Outles/Executive Sous Chief - Steakhouse
- Conduct self in an appropriate professional manner at all times
- Consistently follow through with the appropriate actions when asked to complete projects or tasks
- Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends
- Required to take and pass a Food Service Sanitation course within one year of accepting the position
- Other duties as assigned
