Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 3 years of related work experience
- must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
- compliance with all company safety protocols
- willingness to work full-time in a non-management position at The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte
- willingness to maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- ability to adhere to food preparation and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- vocational, technical, or trade school certification preferred
- demonstrated ability to follow recipes and quality standards
- strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or replace products
- regulate oven, grill, and roaster temperatures
- remove food from freezer to thaw in refrigerator
- ensure proper food portions, distribution, and garnishing
- keep food records
- monitor quality and quantity of prepared food
- communicate need for assistance during busy periods
- report excess food products for daily specials
- inform Food and Beverage staff about rejected products and specials
- ensure food quality
- prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality and presentation standards
- prepare cold dishes
- assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- comply with all safety policies and procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
- participate in safety trainings and obtain certifications
- maintain a clean and professional appearance
- ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- anticipate guest service needs and address them
- communicate clearly and professionally
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- support team to achieve common goals
- listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
- ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
- stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- stretch above head and below knees, including crouching and twisting
- move, lift, transport, push, drag, and position objects up to 25 pounds
- perform other reasonable duties as assigned
