Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • Must obtain alcohol service certification within 14 days of employment
  • Must obtain food safety certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to work evening and night shifts
  • Availability on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift objects with assistance
  • Prior experience in a kitchen leadership role preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three to five years of operational kitchen experience
  • Culinary or food management degree is a plus
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and train staff
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player with people development skills

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare food in appropriate quantities based on customer volume following company operations manual and prep sheets
  • Assure all food orders are prepared, presented, and delivered according to company standards
  • Act as a mentor by training kitchen staff on procedures, presentation, sanitation, equipment safety, and cost control
  • Maintain sanitation and organization of cooking, storage, refrigeration, and serving areas per health regulations and company guidelines
  • Check calibration of cooking and refrigeration equipment weekly to ensure product quality and freshness
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cooking equipment, and utensils using approved sanitation products
  • Receive food and supply orders, verifying product condition, delivery temperatures, product codes, and invoice accuracy
  • Work the food line preparing menu items while training and supervising kitchen staff
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained at all times
  • Assist colleagues with miscellaneous duties to prevent service delays
  • Respond promptly to all customer questions or requests, taking ownership until resolution
  • Obtain certification in company specified alcohol service program within 14 days and food safety program within 30 days of employment
  • Work varying shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended days as needed
