Job Requirements

  • Education from a technical, trade or vocational school
  • minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • ability to work evening shifts
  • physical ability to stand and move for long periods
  • capacity to lift up to 25 pounds
  • compliance with safety and hygiene policies
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or replace products
  • regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and roasters
  • remove food from the freezer to defrost in the refrigerator
  • ensure portions, distribution, and garnishing of food are appropriate
  • maintain food records
  • monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
  • communicate any assistance needed during busy periods
  • inform kitchen management of excess food products for daily specials
  • inform Food and Beverage service staff of rejected products and available special dishes
  • ensure food product quality
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees
  • comply with all safety and company policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • maintain cleanliness and professional appearance
  • anticipate guest service needs and respond accordingly
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • build and maintain positive work relationships
  • support team to achieve common goals
  • ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
  • stretch, bend, twist, and stoop
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
