Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • night and weekend availability is required
  • ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • must become certified in specified alcohol service program within 14 days of employment
  • must become certified in specified food safety program within 30 days of employment
  • ability to walk, bend, stand for periods of time, and lift objects with some assistance
  • strong team orientation and leadership capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three to five years of operational experience
  • two years of cooking experience
  • strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • high integrity and respect for customers, vendors, and employees
  • solid communication skills
  • ability to work as a strong team player and people developer
  • knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety procedures
  • culinary or food management degree is a plus
  • relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare food in appropriate quantities based on customer volume
  • assure all food orders are prepared, presented and delivered according to operations manual
  • act as a mentor to kitchen staff and train employees on procedures, presentation, sanitation, and cost controls
  • maintain sanitation and organization of cooking, storage, refrigeration and serving areas according to guidelines
  • perform weekly calibration checks on cooking and refrigeration equipment
  • wash, rinse and sanitize dishes, cooking equipment and utensils according to health department laws
  • receive food and supply orders, check product quality, temperatures, codes and invoices, and properly store perishable items
  • work the food line, prepare menu items, train and supervise kitchen staff ensuring quality products
  • maintain a clean and safe environment at all times
  • assist colleagues with miscellaneous duties to prevent service delays
  • promptly respond to customer inquiries and guide to resolution
  • obtain certification in alcohol service and food safety programs within specified timeframes
  • work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
