Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook with at least X years in a lead or supervisory role in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques cuisines and dietary restrictions

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with standard recipes and presentation specifications ensuring food quality flavor and nutrition are at their best
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff providing guidance and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and implement innovative and seasonal menu items that meet the tastes and dietary needs of our guests
  • Monitor inventory levels assist with ordering supplies and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent waste
  • Adhere to and enforce food safety sanitation and hygiene standards in the kitchen ensuring compliance with health regulations
  • Conduct regular quality checks on prepared dishes to ensure consistency in taste presentation and portion control
  • Coordinate kitchen activities including food preparation cooking and presentation while ensuring a smooth workflow during peak service times
  • Assist in the training of new kitchen staff imparting skills and knowledge to foster their growth within the culinary team
