Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen setting
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Regular attendance in conformance with company standards
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety rules
- Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of food products and standard recipes
- Ability to read, write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food preparation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Job Duties
- Assigns in detail specific duties to all employees regarding efficient operation of kitchen
- Select, train and supervise kitchen staff in the proper preparation of menu items
- Ensure proper receipt, storage and rotation of food products to comply with Health Department regulations
- Adhere to control procedures for cost and quality
- Prepare requisition for supplies and food items for production in the workstation
- Report any equipment in need of repair to Chef or Engineering for service
- Perform other duties as requested such as VIP parties and staff meetings
