Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum three years of related experience in school food service preferred
  • Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents, regulatory agencies, or members of the community
  • Familiarity with various point of sale systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years of related experience in school food service preferred
  • Serve Safe certification
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and the school community
  • Knowledge of district requirements and Board of Education policies

Job Duties

  • Supervise all food service personnel at Eli Terry Jr. Middle School to ensure quality meals are produced
  • Comply with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
  • Continue to enhance the quality of the program and its services and strive for increased participation rates
  • Collaborate with school district administrators to create program procedures to maintain efficiency and support to the schools
  • Maintain current knowledge of all state regulations
  • Assist the Food Service Director with mandatory state reviews, if applicable
  • Review and submit for approval Eli Terry Jr. Middle School food services employee timesheets to the Food Service Director
  • Assure that the Plymouth Center School kitchen operates to meet health department regulations for food safety
  • Maintain and update the POS system in consultation with the Food Service Director, as necessary
  • Monitor equipment for maintenance and repairs
