Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in lead roles
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
  • Must be able to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a line cook or lead cook in a high-volume restaurant
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Basic culinary education or relevant certification preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and portion control standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist, assist others in closing
  • Attend all scheduled team meetings and training and bring suggestions for improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing
