Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in lead roles
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
- Must be able to comply with health and safety regulations
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or lead cook in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Basic culinary education or relevant certification preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and portion control standards
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist, assist others in closing
- Attend all scheduled team meetings and training and bring suggestions for improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing
