Job Requirements
- Must be at least twenty-one years of age or older
- Possession of current Food Handlers Certification for Colorado
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving
- Ability to handle the public in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- Six months supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and production for volume restaurant
- Ability to read, memorize, and replicate recipes
- Proficient math skills related to weights and measures
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of health standards and compliance requirements
Job Duties
- Perform various cooking and kitchen functions focusing on food preparation standards
- Supervise other cooks and provide leadership in the kitchen
- Prepare, portion, and cook food products based on quality standards
- Perform final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items
- Prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu items
- Comply with Health Department and other governmental agency regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and the public
