- High school graduation or equivalent
- vocational or on-the-job training in cooking
- five years experience in food production and cooking
- ability to read, write and speak English
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to do simple arithmetic
- ServeSafe certification maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire

- five years experience in food production and cooking on demanding schedules
- experience in hospitals and multi-site facilities preferred

- ServeSafe certification obtained or to be obtained within 60 days of hire
Job Duties
- Execute service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
- assist in daily operations for food productions at all food service stations
- prepare and cook foods to order required by patient-care and commercial cafeteria
- comply with University Health and department policies
- ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- ensure proper care and use of foods, supplies and equipment
- comply with safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations
- maintain good guest and working relations
- lead by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees
- ensure competent, efficient and timely performance of duties
- meet daily deadlines with accuracy and quality performance
