- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food service or a similar role is a plus but not required
- knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties
- follow health and safety standards including proper food handling storage and sanitation practices
- regularly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment utensils and work areas
- interact positively with students staff and faculty to create a welcoming environment
- address student dietary needs and preferences providing assistance as needed
- assist in receiving storing and inventorying food and supplies
- help manage kitchen supplies to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
- participate in waste management and recycling initiatives
- work cooperatively with other food service staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
- participate in staff training sessions and professional development opportunities as required
- responsible for all phases of food preparation
- maintain a clean safe and orderly work environment
- supervise students during meal periods
- regular and predictable attendance
