Job Requirements

  • High School degree or GED minimum
  • Minimum of 5 years culinary experience
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • SERV Safe certified
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and MSDS information
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 6am to 2pm with weekend availability and one evening shift per week
  • Willingness to work on holidays if scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years culinary experience
  • In the midst of a mature walk with Jesus Christ
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • SERV Safe certified
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and MSDS information
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Assist the Food Service Manager with preparing the department's yearly budget and working within budget constraints
  • Direct kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and cleanup
  • Assist in overseeing food service needs for the Daycare to ensure all needs are met
  • Assign tasks and duties, supervise attendants, cooks, stewarding, volunteers, and specialty department coordinators
  • Assist in menu planning, ordering, and implementing donations to create a nutritional and healthy menu
  • Maintain open relationships with all vendors and donation providers through deliveries and communication
  • Resolve any issues as they arise and bring issues to the attention of the Food and Beverage Manager
  • Maintain all kitchen reports such as temperature logs and meal counts
  • Uphold a clean environment and be in a state of readiness for all inspections
