Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • one year of cashiering experience
  • working knowledge of food service
  • experience in training and supervising staff
  • proficiency with POS systems
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it within one year

Job Qualifications

  • working knowledge and experience in food service
  • experience with training and supervisory practices and procedures
  • proficiency in operating a POS system in a food service environment
  • ServSafe certified or ability to become certified within one year of employment
  • excellent communication and guest service skills
  • ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • ability to work within a diverse workforce
  • ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge and experience using numerous pieces of standard food service equipment

Job Duties

  • Provide accurate and skillful cash handling and the use of the POS terminal
  • provide outstanding guest service by smiling, greeting and thanking every guest that is encountered
  • provide quantity food preparation and service when required
  • clean and sanitize equipment and assist with inventories
  • clearly and openly communicate with all UM Staff, Faculty, Students and all other guests
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers
  • may set up or close down the store following an opening or closing checklist
