Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- one year of cashiering experience
- working knowledge of food service
- experience in training and supervising staff
- proficiency with POS systems
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it within one year
- strong communication skills
- positive attitude
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food service equipment
- ability to work independently and with a team
- commitment to safety practices
Job Qualifications

- experience with training and supervisory practices and procedures
- proficiency in operating a POS system in a food service environment
- ServSafe certified or ability to become certified within one year of employment
- excellent communication and guest service skills
- ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times
- ability to work within a diverse workforce
- ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge and experience using numerous pieces of standard food service equipment
- ability to effectively work independently and as a team member
- adherence to safety standards and participation in health and safety practices
Job Duties
- Provide accurate and skillful cash handling and the use of the POS terminal
- provide outstanding guest service by smiling, greeting and thanking every guest that is encountered
- provide quantity food preparation and service when required
- clean and sanitize equipment and assist with inventories
- clearly and openly communicate with all UM Staff, Faculty, Students and all other guests
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers
- may set up or close down the store following an opening or closing checklist
