Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years old to hold the Lead Cashier position
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination
  • Proven ability to delegate, multitask, and problem-solve
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
  • Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Proven success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
  • Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to handle pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and dress code
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Proven ability to delegate, multitask, and problem-solve
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling competence
  • Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Track record of exceeding sales goals and training new hires
  • Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible and adaptable

Job Duties

  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
  • Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and services
  • Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
  • Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and experience
  • Book appointments for services and support execution of in-store events to deliver guest experience and sales goals
  • Take ownership of replenishment, organization, and maintenance of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures
  • Maintain prompt, regular attendance
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests
  • Support leadership by completing cashier chat ins and chat outs and associate exit inspections
  • Stay informed of industry trends, products, and services and share knowledge with guests
  • Lead associates in promoting guest loyalty program and credit benefits
  • Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates
  • Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
  • Drive cashier accountability in delivering personalized brand experience and system prompts
  • Participate regularly in ongoing training including brand and category education
  • Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adhere to dress code
  • Complete all transactions accurately and control cash and media at cashwrap
  • Perform register open and close functions as directed
  • Maintain store and cashwrap cleanliness and store standards
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss through adherence to workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention
  • Execute operational tasks as directed
