Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age to hold the Lead Cashier position
- Maintain continuous mobility during shifts including twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, and reaching
- Frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs
- Demonstrate the ability to complete open and close register functions as directed
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code and compliance standards
- Ensure proper control of all cash and media at the cashwrap according to company policies
- Must have regular and prompt attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Proven success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficiency with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Capacity to remain calm and use good judgment under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals for sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products or services
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support in-store event execution to enhance guest experiences and meet sales goals
- Maintain and organize all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest readiness
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates
- Support leadership with register open and close functions, associate exit inspections, and cashier chat ins and chat outs
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering the Ulta Beauty brand experience and following system prompts
- Collaborate with team members to achieve business growth
- Maintain compliance with all operational policies and procedures
- Uphold outstanding store and cashwrap cleanliness and safety standards
- Protect company assets by minimizing loss through adherence to inventory and loss prevention protocols
