Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age to hold the Lead Cashier position
- Ability to be continuously mobile during shifts including twisting
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts
- Compliance with Ulta Beauty’s dress code and policies
- Ability to complete register transactions accurately and maintain cash control
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns professionally
- Proven success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales, omni-channel, loyalty, and shrink goals
- Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Pair guests with associates for makeup, skincare, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
- Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver exceptional guest experiences and sales results
- Maintain cashwrap organization, supplies, and displays for guest readiness
- Support leadership with register open/close functions and associate inspections
- Promote and share guest loyalty program benefits, including credit and app usage
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Drive cashier accountability and adherence to company systems and policies
- Maintain store standards of cleanliness and safety
- Protect company assets through loss prevention and compliance
- Participate in ongoing training for professional development
- Collaborate with store team to grow the business
