Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to hold the Lead Cashier position
  • Ability to be continuously mobile during shifts including twisting
  • Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
  • Frequent lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs
  • Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts
  • Compliance with Ulta Beauty’s dress code and policies
  • Ability to complete register transactions accurately and maintain cash control

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
  • Experience addressing guest concerns professionally
  • Proven success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
  • Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations

Job Duties

  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales, omni-channel, loyalty, and shrink goals
  • Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
  • Pair guests with associates for makeup, skincare, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
  • Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver exceptional guest experiences and sales results
  • Maintain cashwrap organization, supplies, and displays for guest readiness
  • Support leadership with register open/close functions and associate inspections
  • Promote and share guest loyalty program benefits, including credit and app usage
  • Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
  • Drive cashier accountability and adherence to company systems and policies
  • Maintain store standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Protect company assets through loss prevention and compliance
  • Participate in ongoing training for professional development
  • Collaborate with store team to grow the business
