Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum two years relevant experience preferred
- Ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Good guest service and sales competency
- Professional handling of guest concerns
- Experience meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency with Point of Sale and Apple devices
- Strong communication skills
- Teamwork and independent work capability
- Customer relationship building skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for continuous mobility, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, twisting, crouching

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns professionally
- Successful record of exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficiency with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to use good judgment in ambiguous situations and be adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates to perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest service experience
- Book appointments and support execution of services and in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals
- Take ownership over cashier displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures, ensuring guest-readiness
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates, peers, and guests
- Support leadership by completing cashier chats and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, and lead others to do the same
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates in cashiering
- Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering a personalized Ulta Beauty experience and following system prompts
- Participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies, dress code, and operating procedures
- Complete all transactions including guest returns and associate transactions, properly controlling cash and media
- Perform register open and close functions as directed
- Maintain store cleanliness standards including cashwrap, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, and break areas
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by enforcing safety, inventory, and loss prevention standards
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
