Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand and move continuously throughout the store during shifts
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects
- Able to engage guests and lead peers to achieve goals
- Commitment to compliance with company policies and standards
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guests concerns promptly and professionally
- Experience exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology including point-of-sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products or services
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience and achieve sales goals
- Maintain and replenish cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures to ensure guest-ready presentation
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Support leadership with cashier chat ins and chat outs, register open and close functions, and associate exit inspections
- Promote the guest loyalty program and create excitement around credit and loyalty goals
- Adhere to company policies, dress code, and standard operating procedures including cash and media control
- Maintain store cleanliness and protect company assets by minimizing loss and ensuring workplace safety
- Regularly participate in ongoing training and collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering personalized Ulta Beauty brand experiences
