Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds during shifts
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma is preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products and services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skin care analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support execution of services and in-store events that drive sales and guest experience
- Take ownership of the replenishment, organization, and maintenance of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests
- Support leadership with cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- Promote and share guest loyalty program benefits including credit and Ulta Beauty app
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Engage and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering personalized brand experience
- Participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
- Adhere to dress code
- Complete all transactions accurately, including guest returns and associate transactions
- Execute register open and close functions
- Maintain outstanding store standards and cleanliness
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by adhering to safety, inventory control, and loss prevention procedures
- Execute additional operational tasks as directed
