Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • must be 18 years of age or older to hold the Lead Cashier position
  • maintain regular attendance
  • comply with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and dress code
  • ability to handle physical aspects of the job including frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs
  • ability to complete cash wrap tasks including transaction handling and cash control according to company standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
  • proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
  • demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service with competency in selling
  • experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • demonstrated record of exceeding sales goals and training new hires
  • proficient with basic technology such as point of sale systems and Apple devices
  • excellent written and verbal communication
  • strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable

Job Duties

  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
  • ensure guests receive exceptional service through greeting, engaging, and personalizing service
  • handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
  • pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
  • book appointments and support in-store events to drive sales and guest experience
  • maintain replenishment, organization, and cleanliness of all cashwrap displays and supplies
  • support leadership with register open and close functions, cashier chat ins and chat outs, and associate exit inspections
