Job Requirements
- work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- be at least 18 years old to hold the Lead Cashier position
- maintain prompt, regular attendance
- comply with Ulta Beauty's dress code
- have ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and continuous mobility during shifts
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma preferred
- two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling
- experience addressing guest concerns professionally
- demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- proficient with basic technology including Point of Sale system and Apple devices
- excellent written and verbal communication
- strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- ability to adapt and use good judgment under pressure
Job Duties
- contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products and services
- handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience
- maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures to ensure guest-readiness
- support leadership with register open and close functions, associate exit inspections, and cashier chat in/outs
- contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests
- train new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering
- drive cashier accountability in delivering the Ulta Beauty brand experience
- participate in ongoing training and collaborate with managers and associates to grow business
- ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
- maintain store cleanliness and protect company assets
- execute other operational tasks as directed
